Description: Triangular top headstone. On the front is the above inscription. On the back of the headstone, a globe in the centre of a plain pediment with dentils. Pilasters with Ionic capitals flank a circular relief carving of a single-masted vessel under sail. Below, two crossed ensigns are joined by a seal with two cannons.

Details

Description: Gothic altar tomb in an arched recess. The front carved with three quatrefoils containing a carving of Christ in majesty in the centre, on each side, an angel with a censer. In two intermediate quatrefoils, shields with the Parker arms impaled with those of Biddulph. An angel is carved at each end, one singing and holding a label inscribed ‘Alleluia’ and the other playing a harp. The jasper marble slab on the top is inlaid with a brass cross surrounded by rope, with an anchor at the foot of the cross which stands on a three-stepped base, engraved with waves and marine animals. Armorials above the inscription on the wall behind - Parker arms and two representations of the badge of the Order of the Bath (military).
