'In memory of Aaron Edwards, who departed this life 8th October, 1827 in the 20th year of his age. Here freed from affliction, by toilings all o'er / like some weari'd seaman, that rests on his oar, / With the bless'd port in view, and dangers all past, / My bark is safe moor'd, in the haven at last, / There safely to ride, till that last awfull day, / When seas earth and sky shall in smoke pass away, / And when the last trumpet shall waken the dead, / O Saviour, receive me, who for me has't bled.'
