Details

Description: Carved with military trophies at one end of the base and a ship portrait at the other. The inscription is flanked with panels carved with cherubs' heads, flowers and ship's equipment. The top of the base has a flaming urn at each end. A rectangular chest in the centre, carries Townsend's arms and is topped with a larger flaming urn.
