HE RETURNED TO PLYMOUTH / SEPTEMBER 26, 1580 HAVING CIRCUMNAVIGATED THE GLOBE. Notes: Copy of the statue at Tavistock, Drake's birthplace (cast from the same mould). It is without the bas-reliefs on the base. The plaster studio model from which the two statues were cast, was discovered outdoors at Haldon Hill, south of Exeter where it had stood outside a tearooms.
