'Sacred to the Memory of / the late Mr Francis Stewart / Branch Pilot in the H.C.'s Marine / who departed this life 29th October A.D. 1816 / aged 43 years, 2 months and 25 days. / Oh take these tears - mortalities relief / And til we share your joys, forgive our grief; / These little rites, a stone, a verse receive, / 'Tis all a consort, all a friend can give.'
