'Sacred to the memory / Of / John Ridley / Late Quarterman & Master / Capstern [sic] Maker in his / Majesty's Royal Dockyard / at Woolwich, Kent. / Died Jan 20th 1810 aged 80 yrs / Also his Wife, Mrs Elizabeth, died Aug 6th 1833 / Also of four grandchildren. / Eliza, Robert, Mary Ann, & Thomas, / who all died in infancy.'
