'In memory of Edward John DUGGAN, late master of S.S. 'Miramar', born at Padstow? Cornwall, August 1st. 1852, died at Hong Kong July 14th. 1884 aged 32 years. Also in memory of Thomas M IRVINE Master of S.S. 'Miramar' aged 39 years who lost his life when the vessel foundered at sea in a typhoon September 17th 1884'
