Interred in ye / chancel 23 Sept. 1730 & of Anne his / widow, daughter of Sir Charles Turner / Bt. who died at Burnham Thorpe, / Norfolk, Jan 5, 1763, & liethe here / buried; & of their three children' [B] 'Maurice Suckling / Captn R.N.; M.P. for Portsmouth; / died 17th July 1778 aged 52. / William Suckling, Comptroller of Customs. Died Dec. 15, 1798 aged 68; both here buried' [Base panel] 'Catherine Suckling, baptised here May 27, 1725; / married at Beccles to the Revd. Edmund Nelson, / May 11, 1749; buried at Burnham Thorpe, / Dec 30, 1767 aged 42, she was the mother of / Admiral Lord Nelson who died in the / hour of Victory Oct. 21, 1805.'
