APRIL 1812, AGED 82 YEARS, / AND WHOSE MORTAL REMAINS / WERE BURIED IN THE FAMILY VAULT / ON THE / NORTH SIDE OF THE CHURCHYARD. / HE WAS THE BUILDER / OF MANY SHIPS FOR THE ROYAL NAVY, / INCLUDING H.M.S. ELEPHANT, 74 GUNS, / LAUNCHED FROM HIS YARD AT / BURSLEDON ON 24TH. AUGUST 1786 / AND FIFTEEN YEARS LATER / THE FLAGSHIP OF LORD NELSON / AT THE BATTLE OF COPENHAGEN'
