'In affectionate remembrance of / John Jones / Beloved husband of Margaret Jones / 11? Pearl Street, Cardiff who met his / death most suddenly on board the / S.S. James Grice December 16th 1881 / Between Sunderland and Plymouth / in the 35 year of his age / He weakened my strength in the way / He shortened my days Psalms Ch 23 / Brought up from his youth on the billow / He sailed over the fathomless deep / And now the cold earth is his pillow / And sound and unbroken his sleep / Here no wind and no waves overtake him / No tempest can ever arise / But the voice of the Saviour shall wake him / And bid him ascend to the skies / In loving memory of Margaret / the beloved wife of Morris Jones / who died at Penarth Villa Cadoxton /June 24th 1894 / Aged 40 years / We cannot Lord Thy purpose see / But all's well that is done by Thee / 'Am hynny byddlwch chwithau badol canys / Yn yr awn ni thtbdidch y day mab y dyn' / Also of John Morgan / Died Jan 16th 1930 Aged 76 years.'
