'In Memory of James Pickering Smallpage of Knottingley, Yorkshire, England, Late Lieutenant The British Navy, Aged 31, And others of the crew of Medora. Wrecked on the coast Octr 2nd 1857. Jesus Christ said "I am the resurrection and the life. He that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live St John Chap 11 v 25"'
