'In respectful and / Affectionate remembrance of / THOMAS WALL Esq. / many years Commander of the / DUKE of BUCCLEUGH, and other Ships in / the Service of the Hon. E.I. COMPANY. / He died 15th Novr 1814. Aged 69 Years. / Also his Sister / ANN WALL / who died 15th Septr 1825. Aged 85 Years / Their remains are deposited in a Vault / in this North Aisle. / Near them are interred / the remains of their PARENTS; / THOMAS WALL, ESQ. who died 28th Feby 1761, / Aged 66 Years; and of / ANN his Wife, who died 18th June 1768, / Aged 57 Years. / In Memory also of / Mr EDWARD WALL, who died 11th Augt 1719, / Aged 72 Years: of / ANN, his first wife, who died 26th May 1680, / and of MARY his second Wife, who died / 14th July 1722, Aged 67 Years / Ancestors of the above. Their remains / are buried in this Churchyard. / All were natives of ALDEBURGH.' [Brass strip] 'This tablet was removed in 1995 from behind the organ, / and after restoration was affixed here with the help of the friends of Aldeburgh Church'
