'Sacred to the Memory of / CHARLES DIBDIN / The celebrated Author and Composer / who departed this life the 25th of July; 1814 aged 69 years; / This stone was placed by his disconsolate wife and daughter / As a dutiful token to the most affectionate and best / Of husbands / His form was of the manliest beauty, / His heart was kind and soft, / Faithful below, he did his duty / But now he's gone aloft. / Also / ANN DIBDIN / His widow / Who died the 13th of November, 1835 / In the 78th year of her age'
