'Sacred to the memory / of Capt. RICHARD MARRIOTT, of the Honourable / East India Company's Service / who, having returned to England for his health, fell a sacrifice / on the 30th. January 1805, in the 28th Year of his age, / to a painful and lingering disorder, / which he bore with the utmost resignation / for more than two years. / His Widow, truly sensible of her loss, / has erected this monument / to mark the spot / where a beloved Husband lies interred', 'CHARLOTTE PHOEBE, His Widow, / Daughter of PETER & PHOEBE DU CANE / Obt.
