[Plinth] 'Here lyes Sir HENRY PENRICE Kt. L.L.D. Judge of the / High Court of Admiralty, Chancellor of the Diocese of Glocester, / and Official of Middlesex, which Employments He long discharged / with Honour and Integrity. When the University of Cambridge / sent Deputies to compliment FREDERICK first King of Prussia / on his Foundation of the University of Frankfort upon the Oder 1705, / He was the Civilian chosen on that Occasion. He loved Hospitality / Encouraged Industry, and increased the Ancient Estate of / the SPENCER Family. He dyed the 10th August 1752 Aged 75. / SPENCER PENRICE Esqr. his only Son, / a Youth of Great Virtues and Expectations died 1739, Aged 20 / and lyes here interred.' [base] 'To their Memories, ANNA MARIA the only Aurviving Issue of Sir HENRY / and Sir Thomas SALUSBURY Knt. L.L.D. Judge of the High Court of Admiralty / whom She married 1751, have erected this Monument'

Description: An obelisk with a medallion and relief profiles of father and son; at the top of the obelisk a coat of arms. At the base, an allegorical figure (truth) holding a wreath in her left hand, an anchor, oars, scales, fasces, rudder and torch at her feet in reference to Penrice's judicial role.
