Notes: Drowned when their cutter capsized off the Isle of Sheppey, when the scouts were on a camping expedition. There is also a memorial to the eight boys, consisting of a bronze plaque set in a Kentist ragstone boulder at Leystone (St Clement) churchyard near the scene of the accident.
