'Below are the remains of Sir George S. Scott of Gala, Vice Admiral of the Red K.C.B. He departed this life December 21st 1841 having that hope in the merits of Jesus Christ which is an anchor to the soul sure and steadfast. He is now in the haven where he would be, the bosom of his Saviour and his God'
