'ARTHUR RYE, for many years a Medical Practitioner / of this Parish, died March 13th 1832, aged 50 years / AMELIA his wife, died October 12th, 1864, aged 79 years / AMELIA FRIDAY, their daughter, died April 21, 1865 aged 51 years / GEORGE RYE H.E.I.C.S. was lost off the coast of Mauritius / 1835 aged 20 years, SARAH ANNE RYE, died January 22nd 1852 age 35 years / To their memory this is Affectionately placed by the survivors / Arthur Brisley Rye and William Brenchley Rye 1865'
