'William Abraham Jones and William Ward who were unfortunately drowned when pleasuring on the River Mersey 15th May 1841 Upon that fatal morn the youths arose / they knew no guile, they therefore felt no dread, / They little knew that e'er next morning dawn / they would be numbered with the silent dead'
