'To the memory of Nicholas Icely died 23rd June 1834 of Pembroke, South Wales. Midshipman H.M.S. Thunder, drowned with a fellow midshipman [John Sawyer Lloyd] and a seaman off "The Brothers" Rocks near Rugged Island in this colony and named after them. Erected by Capt. Owen and their brother officers'
