'ERECTED / BY THE INHABITANTS OF EMSWORTH AND ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD / IN MEMORY OF THE REVEREND HERBERT MORSE M.A. / CURATE OF THIS CHURCH, AGED 31 YEARS. / TO EXPRESS THEIR SORROW AT THE LOSS OF A ZEALOUS, EARNEST, AND AFFECTIONATE PASTOR AND FRIEND / WHOSE DEATH IN HUMBLE SUBMISSION TO THE WILL OF THE GREAT / DISPOSER OF EVENTS, THEY SINCERELY LAMENT. / THEY DESIRE ALSO TO RECORD THEIR REGARD FOR GEORGE SHUM SHEAN OF WESTBOURNE AGED 34 YEARS / JOSEPH SMITH OF EMSWORTH AGED 27 YEARS AND / ALEXANDER BROWN MOORHEAD AGED 17 YEARS / SON OF A.J.
