'Here resteth the body of Philip Church who dep. this life ... day of Jan. in the year of our Lord 17[54] aged 64 years. / Though boreas blasts and neptunes waves / have tost me two and fro. Yet in spight of / both by God's decree I harbour here below / where I do now at anchor ride with / many of our fleet yet once again I / must set sail our Admiral Christ to meet.'
