Notes: The SS 'Tararua' struck the Otara Reef on a voyage from Dunedin to Melbourne and sunk with the loss of 131 passengers and crew. There are three gravestones and a memorial at the Tararua Acre site, other casualties are buried at Fortrose Cemetery.
