‘Sacred to the memory of / Francis A. Grimston Esqr. Midshipman of H.M.S. “Bonaventure” / who died of typhoid fever at Mauritius. / 19 August 1895, aged 18. / Beloved by all his shipmates. / This tablet is erected by his brother Officers, in affectionate remembrance.’
