Beneath / this Stone lieth the Remains of / Vice-Adm Sir Robert Harland Bart / who died February 21, 1784 / Aged 69. / And of his Wife Susannah / who died February 7, 1805 / Aged 72. / Also of their two Daughters / Frances / married to Count Edward Dillon, / who died October 23, 1777 / Aged 25, / And Marianne Dorothy / married to the Hon.ble Gen Dalrymple / and Mother to the Earl of Stair / the 7th Earl, who died October 28, 1785 / Aged 29.

Notes: Admiral Sir Robert Harland was promoted to Commander-in-Chief of the East Indies Station. He went on to become First Naval Lord in 1782 and full Admiral in 1782.
