'To the memory of Rear-Admiral Aldolphus Fitz-Clarence G.C.B., Ranger of Windsor Home Park. Born 18th Feb 1802, died Newburgh 17 May 1856. This tablet is erected by a few sincere friends and relatives viz. H.R.H. The Duke of Cambridge K.G., The Marquis of Donegal; Earl of Munster, Viscount Falkland, Lord De L'Isle & Dudley; Lady May Fox; Hon. Lucius Cary; Hon. James MacDonald; Sir George Orby Wombwell Bart.'

Details

Description: 'It is in the early decorated style of architecture, sculptured in Caen stone, and placed upon a ground of polished black marble. It consists of a moulded base, supported by foliate bosses with pinnacles either side on each side of the tablet, bearing in relief the arms of the deceased. Messrs, Shelton and Son of York are the sculptors.' Builder. The Royal arms above the inscription.
