'Near this / Place Lyeth the Body / of Sr WILLIAM OGBORNE Knt / who dyed October 13th 1734. Aged 72 / He was Master Carpenter to the / Office of Ordnance 35 Years. / Sherriff of this City: / Colonel of the Militia: / An Elder Brother of the Trinity House: / And one of his Majesty's Justices &c: / A most tender Husband, loving Parent / Sincere & kind Friend, a Man of great / Piety and Virtue mix'd / with much Candor and Humanity / Endued with a Noble and / Generous Disposition / Always ready to Comfort / And relieve the Poor / and in every Circumstance / of Life worthy imitation. / Also the LADY JOYCE / Relict of Sr. Wm. OGBORNE Kt. / who Departed this Life / Augt. 4th 1744.'
