REAR ADMIRAL OF ENGLAND / ONE OF NELSON'S PALADINS HE LED THE BRITISH LINE / AT THE BATTLE OF THE NILE IN COMMAND OF GOLIATH / 74 AND WAS NELSON'S FLAG CAPTAIN AT THE BATTLE OF / COPENHAGEN. HE MARRIED LADY LUCY FITZGERALD/DAUGHTER OF JAMES 1ST DUKE OF LEINSTER. HE DIED/COMMANDER IN CHIEF AT THIS PORT ON THE 9TH OF JANUARY / 1833 AND HIS REMAINS WERE INTERRED WITHIN THIS CHURCH / D: D: BERESFORD HERBERT'
