"HECLA", CHINA STATION, / WHO WAS DROWNED FROM A RIVER LAUNCH ON / PASSAGE FROM FOOCHOW TO PAGODA ANCHORAGE / NOVEMBER 2ND 1905, / AGED 29 YEARS. / BAPTISED IN THIS CHAPEL - JOINED THE ROYAL NAVY / IN THIS PORT - SAILED HENCE ON HIS LAST VOYAGE. / ERECTED IN AFFECTIONATE REMEMBRANCE BY THE / CAPTAIN AND OFFICERS OF H.M.S. "HECLA".
