'SACRED TO THE MEMORY / OF / VICE ADMIRAL THE HONOURABLE GEORGE PAULETT, R.N. / SECOND SON OF JOHN 4TH EARL OF PAULETT, / WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE SUDDENLY NEAR DROVE [HOUSE] / ON THE 10th OF FEBRUARY 1854 / IN THE 68th YEAR OF HIS AGE / HIS REMAINS ARE INTERRED AT THIS PLACE / IN THE FAMILY VAULT OF COLONEL WYNDHAM / TO WHOM HE WAS ENDEARED FROM AN EARLY PERIOD IN HIS LIFE / BY THE TIES OF A SINCERE FRIENDSHIP. / IN TOKEN OF FILIAL SORROW AND AFFECTIONATE / REMEMBRANCE / THIS TABLET IS RAISED TO THE MEMORY OF A BELOVED PARENT / BY WILLIAM HENRY PAULETT / HIS ONLY SURVIVING SON'

Description: A plain marble tablet, with a shallow triangular pediment above, a supporting shelf and two brackets incised with a floral pattern without tincture below. Incised lettering painted black.
