'Thomas, son of Thomas Rigby, a youth of very promising hope who was unfortunately lost in the snow Pownall on the night of Friday 27 July 1758 in the 13th. year of his age The Mortal hour o'ertakes us soon or late I'm safely landed on that silent shore When billows beat and tempests wage [sic] [rage?] no more'
