'Edward Watkins Bennett, midshipman of His Majesty's Ship RAINBOW, eldest son of Captain Thomas Bennett and Sarah his wife who departed this life at Port Royal Jamaica upon the 31st day of July 1885 at the age of 19, a victim to the malignant fever of that country. His remains are deposited in the Naval Burying-ground on The Palisades near Port Royal'
