'Sacred to the memory of Captain Edward Rowley, third son of Sir William Rowley, Bart. of Tendring Hall, in the county of Norfolk; who died at Nassau, New Providence, on the 8th. of July 1817, while commanding H.M. Brig 'Shearwater', and was buried at that place, on the 15th of the same month. Born the 16th. of April 1792'
