Wall tablet in Holy Trinity Church, Fareham, Hampshire commemorating Vice-Admiral Charles Thompson d. 1799Memorial: M2165
The inscription tablet is surmounted by a pediment at the apex of which, is a globe in a metal stand. Flanking the inscription, a figure of a seaman holding a lead and line and a midshipman holding an octant, both clad in short jackets and trousers.

At the top of the memorial, a trophy consisting of a crown on the staff of a trident, flanked by flags, with navigational instruments, a rudder and gun barrels. The inscription tablet below, has a scroll on either side enclosing carved oak leaves. On the apron, the Seymour arms and crossed palm branches. The brackets are carved with acanthus leaves.
